Other original monographs advocating winning strategies for the Global War on Terror that are not all posted as commentary on this site.  They have been submitted to government and military leaders either as stand alone papers or as articles in related professional journals or web sites.

"Winning the Global War on Terror: Unconventional Warfare is the Exit Strategy" By Matt Rowe, August 2006. The very basics of counterinsurgency written for and submitted to various members of Congress.  Considered an "important work" by Senator Richard Lugar (R-IN) and presented to the staff of the  Senate Committee on Foreign Relations for future oversight hearings.

"Classic Counterinsurgency: The Key to Victory Against Today's Insurgents" by Terrence Daly, LTC, USA, (Ret.). Published in the December 2006 United States Marine Corps Gazette Terry Daly outlines what it takes to win a war against modern insurgents.

"How To Win The War in Iraq" by Terry Daly, LTC, USAR (Ret), December 2005. Originally published in the US Naval Institutes publication, Proceedings Magazine.  The author details a workable counterinsurgency strategy for Iraq that makes the relies upon classic political-military counterinsurgency strategy while making the most of modern technology and lessons learned from past conflicts. 

"Purposefully & Materially Undermining Democracy?" by Matt Rowe, September 2006. Written for Senator Joe Biden (D-DE) and published at Unite Our States, Senator Biden's web site dedicated to  overcoming the politics of division in the US. The article emphasizes the critical success factor of ensuring justice and the observance of human rights for "unlawful enemy combatants" and all people affected by an insurgent terrorist conflict.

"Counterinsurgency Lessons for Iraq and Afghanistan" by Matt Rowe, published in the Indianapolis Star on October 7, 2006 is critique of the counterinsurgency lessons "not yet learned" by the Bush Administration.

"Self Appointed SecDef: How to clean house, fill a vacuum at DOD" by Terry Daly, LTC, USAR (Ret), October 20, 2006 and published in the Army Times and responds to a friendly group a challenge: “Give me a strategy for what we do in Iraq starting now. Two minutes for hand-wringing, then concrete action, please..."

 "CPT Patriquin's Presentation"  December 18, 2006.  US Army Captain Travis Patriquin created this eloquent PowerPoint presentation detailing the proper counterinsurgency strategy for Iraq.  At first glance, this presentation may not appear very serious, but don't let the graphics fool you.  Sadly, CPT Patriquin was recently killed in action by an improvised explosive device.
